We are sick and tired of organizations not respecting their user's privacy. Too many times they directly share it with advertisers, or leave it in an unsecured location. Then they claim they "don't know who/what was impacted". We do things differently:
- We never share your information to third-parties that aren't directly and obviously involved in providing a service to you
- We never benefit from having your personal information (we don't sell or share it with advertisers, for example)
- We never see any sensitive financial information; it's sent directly to the payment processor
- We always store sensitive data with the highest encryption, unable to be reverse-engineered
- We always log every access attempt to any data, and prevent even most of our employees from seeing sensitive data
Since we can't summarize a full policy in five points, here's the actual policy:
This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for Alpha Portal and our website; https://alphaportal.io. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website, except where stated otherwise. It will notify you of the following:
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
- With whom it is shared;
- How it can be corrected;
- How it is secured;
- How policy changes will be communicated; and
- How to address concerns over misuse of personal data.
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g., to ship an order or process a payment.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the contact form
- See what data we have about you, if any.

In order to use this app, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give certain information. This information is used for your organization and Alpha Portal to provide the Alpha Portal Service. At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as gender or age) about yourself, which may be required by your organization.
Your organization may use Alpha Portal to collect dues and fees. Alpha Portal will never charge an end-user directly, except at the request of the user's organization. To make a payment, you must provide contact information (like name and billing address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date, or bank account numbers). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders exclusively. Alpha Portal will never see any sensitive data (like credit card numbers), as those are sent directly to our payment processor Stripe
. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use your information to contact you.
We share aggregated demographic information with Google Analytics
for our main website only (https://alphaportal.io). Due to Google's track record with privacy, Google Analytics has absolutely no involvement with the portal app itself (https://app.alphaportal.io). Data sent to Google Analytics is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
We don't partner with any other third-party services. That's how important privacy is to us! We do everything else in-house.
We take incredible precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the portal, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted directly to the credit card processor in a secure way. We never see sensitive financial information. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon in the URL of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g. billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment and are inaccessible to the outside world.
We use "cookies" on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor's hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance their experience on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.
Notification of Changes
Whenever material changes are made to the privacy notice, we will send an email to all members with active Alpha Portal accounts.
