When Alpha Portal runs your organization site, things are updated automatically.

We'll grab up-to-date organization information, officer listings with contact forms for each officer, public events and ticket sales, and more.

Basic Most groups use the portal on our site directly. You can log in here. For more customization, use DNS or CNAME adjustments to connect your custom domain to their Alpha Portal installation.

Advanced Receive a free domain registration with an annual contract. Only a few major TLDs are supported. Only available to organizations who do not currently have an owned domain.

With a custom domain, your login screen can feature your organization's logo and your public organization website can be hosted on the same domain.

Want to easily take attendance for your events?

Portal Advanced subscribers can use almost any USB magnetic card swipe device to allow members to "swipe in" with any form of ID. If it has a unique & readable magnetic strip, and you use a supported card reader, it's eligible!

Our team can dissect card data to make it easy for you to associate members with an identification card.

You can also "swipe in" non-members to record any data that was on their ID, the time of entry, and any additional information you want to assign to a swipe record (example: blacklist status, name, etc.)

The software can perform age verification if using a driver's license that includes date of birth in the magnetic stripe data.

Any time a member makes a payment, there is a small fee charged by the financial company involved.

We want to make those fees simple and flexible. You can choose to have your members pay the fee, or you can absorb it.

Funds received through paid invoices or merchandise/ticket sales, minus the fee if your organization chose to absorb it, will increase your organization's account balance. Use this balance to send mailed paper checks or ACH direct deposits, to your organization account or to a third-party to pay a bill.

Some banks charge us for processing an ACH transaction. If this is the case, the fee will be applied.

If a payment is returned, disputed, dishonored, or charged back, your organization will be charged a fee. Having your member cancel the dispute is the easiest way to have this fee refunded. Otherwise, we will provide evidence against the dispute for the issuing bank, and in the event that our appeal is accepted, the chargeback fee will be refunded.

When you receive payments from members, those funds are stored in your organization's Alpha Portal account until you decide to do something with them.

To request a direct deposit or mailed check, you must not have a negative balance with us or your national headquarters (if applicable). Some payments, like ACH, do not process for a few business days, and are not available to withdraw until cleared.

A deposit or check can be sent to a third-party vendor you owe, one of your members to refund/reimburse, or to your organization's bank account to save or spend.

There are never fees when transferring your money out of Alpha Portal.

Due to the global increase of fradulent financial activity, any account that collects suspicious payments may be prohibited from receiving direct deposits until an investigation is completed. We have never had to do this to a legitimate organization.

Organizations with frequent chargebacks or dis-honored payments may be prohibited from receiving direct deposits until any dis-honored payment (plus applicable fees and taxes) are received. We only very rarely, after unsuccessful attempts to contact the organization, have done this.

You can send automated payment reminders and encourage members to pay with discounts and incentives.

If you have a signed payment agreement and have collected the member's social security number (something Alpha Portal can do securely), we can forward a full set of information to a collections agency.

Some of our competitors boast about their "collection rate". In our case – and for almost all of our competitors – the delinquent account is sent to an external, contracted collections agency. These agencies do very similar things, and the success rate mainly depends on if you have a good case. We have an experienced member of our team who can help you build a good case.

Collections does not always recoup losses, but can be a great tool to affect a delinquent member's credit until they pay.
